FANNY KAO

Fufufanny was born in 1983 in Taiwan. Growing up, her father had a large influence on her creative development. While other kids were busy abiding by the rules, she was encouraged to doodle on walls, creating environments in which her characters could dwell. Her subsequent degree in sociology provided her with an alternate train of thought, one of rational thinking, of cause and effect. Her current body of work aims to challenge that very mindset. Through the creation of a whimsical landscape, in which unlikely creatures live harmoniously together, Fanny hopes to provide viewers with an oasis, a getaway from the turbulence of the world in which we live in.
