Killerweil | Musical Guest at TOYCON Nexus x PopLife Festival 2026

Inspired by the relentless force of the orca, Killerweil is a metal band from Metro Manila known for blending crushing riffs, experimental textures, and high-energy performances. The band consists of vocalist Weil Ylagan, guitarists Chislon Bolaños and Jeriel Fajutagana, bassist Popo Belez, and drummer Recher Policarpio.

Drawing influence from acts such as Slipknot, Korn, Metallica, Greyhoundz, and Queso, Killerweil fuses aggression and atmosphere into a sound that is both intense and unpredictable. The band began from Weil’s original composition “Over The Edge,” which later evolved into a full-band effort and gained exposure through MYX and Jam 88.3.

Their latest single, “Mistake,” showcases the band’s signature blend of heaviness and experimentation. Combining 2000s-inspired nu-metal riffs with reggae-tinged verses, the song explores themes of toxic relationships, temptation, and emotional self-destruction. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Kirby Dela Paz at Soundgrounds Records and distributed by The Orchard under Sony Music Philippines, the track is accompanied by a cinematic music video co-produced and directed by Niokz Arcega.

With a growing catalog of original music, explosive live shows, and a commitment to pushing creative boundaries, Killerweil continues to establish itself as one of the rising forces in the Philippine heavy music scene.
