Mattel to Create DC Comics Toys

Superheroes such as "Superman" and "Batman" will fight crime in plastic form as toys produced by Mattel Inc. under a multiyear master toy agreement between the world's largest toymaker and DC Comics, a unit of Warner Bros.

The toymaker already has the license for individual DC properties. The new deal, announced Friday, will expand the relationship, giving Mattel (nyse: MAT - news - people ) access to characters that have yet to be featured in big screen adaptations, such as "The Green Lantern" and "Aquaman."
