ToyconPH news!- Latest Anime and Mecha toys for 2016

Before you head out at the ToyCon Launchpad this coming Saturday, you might wanna check out the latest Anime, Toku and mecha toy releases that are currently hot in the market and believe me, it’s going to leave a hole in your wallets.

SH Figuarts Ranma Saotome Girl type official image 00
S.H. Figuarts Ranma Saotome (Girl type)
Manufacturer: Bandai
Current SRP: Php 1,700

If you’re a fan of Ranma ½, then you might want to add this to your collection, Bandai recently released the girl version of Ranma Saotome, the first articulated Ranma figure that was released in the S.H. Figuarts line. Not only Bandai nailed the design based on her anime character model, but the figure has superb articulation as it can do a lot of action poses, it even can stand on one leg (personally I know, because I own one). For a price of 1.7k, this figure is really worth collecting for an avid Ranma fan.

Transformers Unite Warriors Devastator official image 00
Transformers Unite Warriors Devastator
Manufacturer: TakaraTomy
Current SRP: Around Php 8,000-9,000

If you’re not contented to Hasbro’s Combiner Wars Devastator, you might want to get a Japanese version. Compared to the US release, TakaraTomy’s Devy release has a lot of benefits: The individual Constructicons sports better articulation, individual weapons for each Contructicon, and a new Devastator head that has an optional visor inside its forehead where you can switch with or without visors on his eyes. Though pricey compared to Hasbro (Php 1k difference or higher), TakaraTomy Devy is every Transformers toy collector’s dream of owning one.

SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Decade Renewal official image 00

S.H. Figuarts -Shinkocchou Seihou- Kamen Rider Decade
Manufacturer: Bandai
Current SRP: Php 2,300 above

Destroyer of Worlds Masked (Kamen) Rider Decade gets another S.H. Figuarts figure release, and compared to previous version, the new version gets better articulation, height and more show accurate. For a price of 2.3k, which is not bad, but you have to be careful in purchasing one there are some sellers are selling this figure overpriced because of the hype.

SRC Mazinkaiser SKL Final count ver official image 00
Super Robot Chogokin Mazinkaiser SKL (Final Count ver.)
Manufacturer: Bandai
Current SRP: Around Php 3,500 above

Bandai’s 3rd release of Mazinkaiser SKL in the Super Robot Chogokin line, which the figure now sports a different color scheme and now comes with Wingle’s Scrander. Compared to the other releases, this by far the best Mazinkaiser SKL release, Super Robot fans are drooling of adding this to their collection.

Transformers Masterpiece Ironhide official image 00
Transformers Masterpiece Ironhide
Manufacturer: TakaraTomy
Current SRP: Php 4,000 above

TakaraTomy’s release of Ironhide in the Transformers Masterpiece line finally gets a toy that he deserves. Not only we get a G1 cartoon accurate toy (albeit the inaccurate side skirt armor) but he also comes a lot of accessories and he’s in-scale with the other recently released Masterpiece figures. For a price of Php 4k, this figure is a good buy for every TransFan.

Transformers Masterpiece Hot Rodimus official image 00
Transformers Masterpiece Hot Rodimus
Manufacturer: TakaraTomy
Current SRP: Php 3,000

Another Masterpiece figure that was recently released, Hot Rodimus (aka Hot Rod) from Transformers: The Movie. Compared to the previously released Masterpiece Rodimus Prime, Hot Rod doesn’t transform to the latter, and he’s quite small, in fact he’s in-scale with the other TF Masterpiece Autobot cars which is perfect. A bit pricey compared to the other released Autobot cars nevertheless, Hot Rodimus is definitely a must buy in their TF collection list.

SH Figuarts Bruce Lee official image 00
S.H. Figuarts Bruce Lee
Manufacturer: Bandai
Current SRP: Php 1,900

This tops in the list. Though not an anime or mecha character, S.H. Figuarts Bruce Lee really stands out not only he has a lot of articulation but also he has lifelike image likeness of Dragon himself compared to the Max Factory’s figma version (which by the way looks a lot like Ramon Zamora; the Bruce Lee of the Philippines lookalike, to be honest). For a price of 1.9k, this is a definite must buy in my collection list.

Well there you have it; I hope you can find these at the ToyCon Launchpad event. Happy toy hunting!

ToyCon Launchpad
