Granado Espada 2.0, the newest version, includes new updates in the world of GE, making the game more interactive and enjoyable for local gamers.

IP Interactive, a brand of communications and IT company, IPVG, will be launching its Open Beta Test (OBT, 509) of the triple-A Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG, 509) game, Granado Espada (GE, 509), on June 16, 2007. The said game kicked off simultaneously in Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

150,000 gamers from these countries registered for Granado Espada, adding 13,000 more players in its first 24 hours.

Operated by Singaporean company, Infocomm Asia Holdings (IAH, 509), the success of GE’s POBT validates the company’s “One Asia, One Market” strategy announced last year.

Granado Espada is set in a detailed fantastic game world that reflects the 17th century and New World colonial exploration where technological tools of that period fuse with magic and wizardry.

GE POBT, currently in its free play stage, introduces more improvements to the game since its Closed Beta Testing (CBT, 509) last February 2007. This patch has over 100 new maps, including the barren Katovic Snowfield and three raid dungeons among others. Over 300 new quests were added, including mini quests, mission rooms, and quests that can be picked up in combat zones, giving players a more exciting gaming experience.

Among the many features in the game include the Baron Mode (player versus player, 509), Auction Hourse (trading amongst players, 509), Faction Colony Wars (guild versus guild, 509), Item Crafting, new items and more Recruitable NPCs.

“The players were very excited about it. In the freeplays, the response was so overwhelming that we had to double the allotted seats to accommodate the gamers. I've also been receiving a lot of emails from Internet cafe owners nationwide expressing their interest in the game,” says IP Interactive Product Manager Ivee Feria.
